The Vatican Secretary of State, Cardinal Tarcisio Bertone (bio), plans a trip to Cuba in the near future, according to a report by the Associated Press. The Vatican has not made any official announcement about the visit. Cardinal Bertone would be the top-ranking Vatican official to visit the island nation since the historic trip there by Pope John Paul II news in 1998.
